What started off as two kids networking on Mypace has turned into one of Hip Hop’s true undiscovered diamonds in the rough. Since their first collaboration in 2006, Nephilim Muse and Pertis Plus have slowly been piecing together Origins: a literary masterpiece fused with urban beats and ambient groves. Nephilim Muse has had an unbridled and uncanny passion for the written word since he was a boy. At the age of 8 his mother bought him a journal and he’s been writing relentlessly ever since. He started with poetry (the best vessel for any growing, hormonal writer, filled with teenage angst). While he loved hip hop, he was not, at the time, aware of any acts that offered the same qualities in literature. So, when he was 15 he started his first Metal band, DeadSide. And, though Metal music didn’t have the stuff of the Beatniks, it did offer him a medium to communicate his most visceral and barbaric emotions… loudly. By his junior year in high school, he wasn’t so angry. The band dispersed, and with his original disposition to Hip Hop, Neph engaged in multiple obscure side projects like Nephilim Seed and Nambla 5. In 2005, an acquaintance handed him a mix tape of conscience rap. He loved Hip Hop again. It hadn’t died. It was only hidden. Though sloppy at first, Nephilim Muse began to find his flow. After working with Pertis Plus, the pair became aware of their true potential and began working on a project filled with language, ambiance, attitude and skill. Their quest in the game is well in its infancy, yet they already have what it takes to get in your brain and turn your universe inside-out.
